Northville Central School District fired from longtime high school basketball Coach after pulling the hair of a female player after the game.
The disturbing incident got caught up in camera, shared on social media, leading to several reactions from netizens who denounced the basketball coach.
Meanwhile, the basketball coach revealed what happened between him and the player before pulling his hair.

Camera pulls basketball coach and pulls player hair
The viral video showed the moment 81-year-old high school basketball coach Jim Zulo pulled one of the players’ ponytails vigorously.
In the clip, Zullo and his players were standing courtside after the coach approached the team’s star player Haley Monroe from behind and forced her hair to pull and impact her, losing 37-43 to La Fageville.
He then began screaming at Monroe. Monroe appeared to cry after the loss. Apparently scary, Monroe tried to escape from Zullo.
Monroe’s teammates then stepped between her and Zullo in obvious attempts to prevent further attacks before the camera was cut down.

According to CBS6 Albanythe basketball game was the final of the Class D Girls Final at Hudson Valley Community College.
Monroe, a senior and the program’s all-time goal scorer, was fouled out of the game. She was waiting with her teammates for a medal presentation before Zuro could pull her hair.
The basketball coach said News10 The Monroe is said to have directed him to exp humiliate after he told her to shake hands with the opposing team.
Her reaction to his instructions led to their arguments.

Her video quickly went viral, generating multiple comments from netizens who couldn’t believe what their basketball coaches were doing.

In a statement entitled “Letters to Athletes, Family and Community,” they said, “The Northville Central School District is deeply disturbed as the behavior of girls’ basketball team coaches during the Class D New York State Championship Game.”
The statement stated: “We hold our coaches to the highest standards of professionalism, sportsmanship and respect for student-athletes, and this behavior is completely unacceptable.”
The school announced Zullo’s dismissal, saying, “We are committed to ensuring that this type of action does not have a place within our program, and we continue to support the value of respect and integrity that athletes, families and communities expect and deserve.
The statement stated: “We assure the public that this issue is being taken very seriously and the district is actively working on it. The district follows up with the affected players and their families to support and outline the actions we are taking in response to this incident.”
Meanwhile, Monroe’s family has not yet responded to the incident.
