British composer Debbie Wiseman will be an honorary guest at Belgium’s 25th World Soundtrack Awards (WSA) on October 14th-16th, 2025.
Wiseman is best known for her film scores Tom & Viv, To Olivia and Wildthe latter earns an Ivor Novello nomination.
On the TV side, she composed for the series Wolf Hall, Father Brown and Judge John. Wiseman has worked with Stephen Frye and directors Peter Kosminsky, John Hay, Brian Gilbert, Simon Hunter and the late Lewis Gilbert, with over 200 credits.
As part of the honor, Wiseman’s work will take place at the WSA ceremony on October 15th.
“It’s a real privilege to share music with fellow composers, songwriters, industry experts and film music fans,” the composer said in a statement. “I look forward to the first time my score concert suite will be performed by the respected Brussels Philharmonic under the expert guidance of Maestro Dirk Brossé in this beautiful setting.”
The WSA will be held at the Muziekcentrum de Bijloke in Brussels at the Ghent film festival (October 8-19).
