White lotus Composer Cristobal Tapia de Vere He announced that he officially left the series after a fight with creator Mike White in the show’s score.
Why does White Lotus composer leave the show?
In a recent interview with The New York Times, De Veer confirmed that he will end the show after the third season, pointing out various creative differences with White as to why.
“I announced to my (editor) team a few months ago that I hadn’t come back and that I was leaving,” De Veer said. “At one point I heard about it (white).”
According to De Veer, he and White have been in conflict with the show’s scores since their first season. The composer claims that White never liked his first season score and its “Ohh-loo-loo-loos.”
“I stuck to what I was doing,” De Veer said. “And when I was offering the version, it was still the same thing. There were still crazy people, screams, etc. From there it was a strange relationship like, “How can I pass all this weird music on the show?”
The third season of White Lotus did not feature the same vocals as the first two vocals of the intro. Fans noticed immediately. According to De Veer, he doesn’t think people realized how much their fans liked it, but that white rejection refused to add them to the show in some of the later episodes.
“I don’t think anyone really knows how attached they are to ooh-loo-loo,” De Veer said. “People were furious at the change in themes, and I thought it was funny. I texted the producers and at some point they said it was great to give them a longer version with (fans) ooh-loo-loo. “No.”
