Our final showrunner on handling fan responses to season 2
At a recent press conference, Druckman admitted that he wasn’t really worried about how fans of the video game series will react to the last season two.
“I said this before, but I think the best way we can respect our fans and respect them is to not worry about them, as external influences and pressure won’t lead you to a good creative choice,” Druckman said. “Craig and I are extremely meticulous about how we interrogate every moment. Looking at all the creative choices and all the options in front of us, we make sure that we choose Craig the way we like to say “the right thing.” And it is the right thing for us at the end of this medium, and it will not necessarily be the same right thing for us at the end of the video game format. ”
Druckmann said, “So, the stress we often feel is making the most of it, over the time we have, to make the best choice for the best show possible?”
