During SXSW, a new trailer for The Last of Us season 2 was released for the show starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. The show will premiere on HBO on Sunday, April 13th at 9pm ET/PT/PT and stream on Max. The new episode of the seven-episode season will debut on the following Sunday.
“Five years after the event in the first season, Joel and Ellie are at odds with each other, and the world is even more dangerous and unpredictable than the world they left behind,” says Logline for our final season 2.

Who is the last season 2 trailer?
Our final season 2 stars Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy and Lutina Wesley as Maria. Members of the new cast include Caitlyn Dever as Abby, Meld as Isabella, young Magino as Jesse, Ariela Burler as Mel as Mel, Tatty Gabriel as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny and Jeffrey Wright as Jeffrey Wright. Katherine O’Hara will become a guest star.
Neil Druckman and Craig Mazin developed the HBO show. Season 1 premiered in January 2024 to record viewership. Our final season 1 won eight Emmys and Pascal won the SAG Award for Male Actor in a drama series.
The series is a collaboration with Sony Pictures Television and is also an executive produced by Carolyn Strauss, Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O’Connor, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan and Evan Wells.
