TSA officials reportedly put down and found something hidden in the man’s gro caliber. Upon further questions, he revealed a small, red-eared slider turtle about five inches long, wrapped in a blue towel.
The man’s identity was not revealed, but he described the turtle as a popular pet species. The AP News confirmed that he eventually left the checkpoint area by Port Authority police and missed his flight.

Airport officials confirmed that the incident was the first of its kind

The animal was confiscated as authorities were unable to determine whether it was his pet or why it was shoved into his pants. The top TSA official, as he said, found the event to be very strange.
“Travelers have seen them try to hide knives and other weapons in their shoes. and in Their baggage, but I think this is the first time we’ve encountered someone hiding a living animal in front of his pants. ”
