The UK National Film and Television School has announced the winners at the 2025 Alumni Showcase, which includes screenwriter Tracey Murray.
Screenplay MA student Murray received the most promising student award of £1,000. Brian Ward, head of NFTS Screenplay MA, said, “Tracy will create extraordinary work, develop into a huge talent and potential writer, providing tireless help, advice and support to fellow students.”

Other NFTS winners included Jonathan Le Grice, the winner of Best Cinematography for his work Watch me burnand production management students Esther Thompson and Alice Fontana.
Students received the prize at their graduation ceremony at Odeon Lux in Leicester Square in London (Friday, March 7th).
Documentary Louis Theraux was awarded the NFTS Honorary Fellowship at the ceremony in recognition of his contributions to the industry. The NFTS Board of Directors awarded the award, celebrating “the dedication to revealing “diverse human experiences” through bold and thought-inducing storytelling across multiple media outlets and to continue to inspire a new generation of creatives and documentary makers.”
“I hold on to the old truth of being hardworking, conscientious, free-thinking and brave,” Theroux said in a speech to the students. “It will make you happy, but please protect your hesitation and self-doubt to a healthy degree. It reminds us to be human and challenge preconceived notions. By doing so, we can connect. ”
The NFTS graduate showcase has published works created by school students over the past 12 months, and includes over 80 shorts, television productions, animations, documentaries, commercials and games.
