Prince Frederick After Luxembourg’s death, his family made a heartbreaking statement in March 2025. Prince Robert Luxembourg and Princess Julie Nassau lived with a rare genetic disorder until his untimely death, and his parents spoke about it in a homage to their son posted on the Polg Foundation website.
“My wife and I would like to inform you of the passing of our son, Frederik, founder and creative director of the Polg Foundation,” Prince Robert’s statement read.

Before Frederick’s final question, his other remarks, it was “Daddy, are you proud of me?” He barely could speak for a few days, so the clarity of these words was just as amazing as the weight of the moment was profound. The answer was very simple, and he had heard it many times, but at this point he needed the peace of mind that he could contribute everything he could in his short, beautiful being and that he could finally proceed. ”

According to the Polg Foundation website, Prince Frederik was found to be living with a disease that “deprived the body of energy cells, causing progressive multiple organ dysfunction and failure.” There is no “effective” treatment, the basics point out, and there is no treatment for patients living in very rare conditions.
