April Almanza Lopez and Kiara Rae McGillen are seeking a substantial six-figure total to cover their healthcare costs. The duo sued LeBron and his son Bronnie in a car accident that occurred on November 13, 2022 in Litrelock, California.
According to court documents, April reported suffering from multiple injuries including neck pain, lower back pain, lower back pain, shoulder pain on both sides and headaches, with her medical expenses totaling around $234,582.22.
In contact, Chiara also experienced neck pain, back pain, back pain and headaches, cited medical costs for $48,007.80. The lawsuit alleges negligence on the part of LeBron and Bronnie, claiming that their car crashed into a woman while the passengers of another vehicle.

Plaintiff claimed he lost a significant amount of income due to the accident.

In the lawsuit, the plaintiffs allegedly owned and operated LeBron and his son negligently owned and operated the vehicle involved in the accident, causing injuries and damage to them.
April and Chiara alleged that the athletes caused personal injury to them, which led to ongoing pain, discomfort and disability. They also claimed they had paid medical expenses for treatment and reported significant damage to the car in April.

In response to the allegations, LeBron and Bronnie denied any misconduct. Their lawyers argued that if a woman experiences an injury it stems from her own actions, not from the defendant’s actions.
The lawyers argued that the plaintiff had failed to act as reasonably wise person, and that injuries and damages were inevitable and not the result of LeBron and his son’s negligence.
Ultimately, they demanded that the court dismiss the woman’s complaints and not receive a financial settlement from the suit. The plaintiffs reportedly filed a lawsuit on the same day LeBron and Bronnie made history by sharing the court in the NBA regular season games.
