‘Law & Order’ Star Isaiah Stokes Convicted Of Real-Life Murder In Chilling Case

The 45-year-old actor was convicted earlier this month on charges of two-degree murder and two-degree criminal possession of a weapon after a two-week trial.

Prosecutors revealed that Isaiah Stokes ambushed 37-year-old Jones in brutal daylight fire, fired 11 rounds into the victim’s car, and hit him multiple times with his head and chest. Jones was declared dead at the scene.

According to Daily Mail, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said the fatal attack was the pinnacle of a multi-month grim Stokes held after an argument at Jones’ birthday party in 2020, where Stokes was removed due to inappropriate behavior. Katz said the actor went to place a GPS tracker in Jones’ car in the weeks leading up to the murder.

“Isaiah Stokes, embarrassed and upset that he was dumped from a birthday party in October 2020, called for revenge against Tyrone Jones,” she said in a statement. “A few months later, the defendant installed a GPS tracking device on the victim’s vehicle and stalked Jones over a week. Stokes tracked Jones down to Linden Boulevard, fired 11 times at Jones’ car, slamming him in the head and chest.”

She continued, “Justice is now being served for the planned murder committed by this defendant, and he will now spend 25 years in prison as a direct result of his criminal conduct.”

In his sentence on Friday, March 21, Stokes seemed emotionless as Judge Kenneth Holder freaks out.

“You feel more guilty than anyone I’ve seen in this courtroom,” the judge declared, accusing the crime of meticulously planning it in a misguided attempt at revenge. “I thought you would stay in prison as long as you could be surprised by your film career when you came out.”

“But here is the problem. You have to go outside, and you don’t go outside, no one can deliberately plan a murder like you did, and stupidly carry it out. “You hunted Jones, shot him 11 times, and assured him that he would die… ironically, the rage of the murder you took on presents you with the infamous name you want.

The holders also criticized the actor for refusing to plea bargain despite video surveillance clearly identifying him as a shooter.

“You have a small number of talent, an impressive talent,” the judge noted. “What makes all of this so embarrassing… why throw this all away for the fight you said “no big deal”? ”

The court was filled with emotional outbursts from the victim’s families.

Tyrone Jones Sr., the father of the victim, issued a heartbreaking statement of impact for the victim, saying, “TJ is fun and loving, and he is my son, brother, uncle, nephew. What I don’t remember is the day you decided to kill my son.”

He continued, “I lost my son on February 7, 2021, TJ never died of a car accident or illness, but at the hands of a monster, Isaiah Stokes. Isaiah. Isaiah chased my son. Grave.”

Stokes, who once worked in the hip hop community under the name I$aiah, had recently released AS As 2023 music in 2023, but since his arrest in 2021, he has been running at Rikers Island. His film and television credits include appearances in “Rescue Me,” “Boardwalk Empire,” “Louie,” and “Power.”

The murders have shocked many, with former fans and colleagues tackling a harsh contrast between Stokes’ on-screen role and the calculated violence of his real-life behavior.
