Kellie Pickler's Battle With Late Husband's Parents Takes Another Turn Amid Contempt Of Court Claims

Kyle Jacobs’ parents Lead and Sharon Jacobsdragged Kelly to court for failing to hand over his son’s property, as ordered by the court,

The parents of Kelly Pickler and Kyle Jacobs are in a dispute over his property after dying of a gunshot wound he was injured on February 17, 2023 at the age of 49.

The couple filed a civil contagion petition last month, claiming that a subpoena was issued on April 29, 2024, requiring Kelly to abandon the property belonging to Kyle. They added that:

“In spite of this court’s subpoena (Kelley admits that she did not waive her title to the property, but she has withheld real estate property, and despite many informal attempts to acquire (Kelley’s) withheld property.”

As a result, contacts gathered that the couple had requested that their former stepdaughter be issued and sanctioned for knowingly ignoring a subpoena serving her.

Kelly responded to her previous in-laws through her lawyer that the court did not issue an order to uphold the subpoena. The actress’s lawyer argued that “there is no basis for supporting the petition for lightly empty.” A hearing is set for March 20th for the parties fighting Kelly, who was found in controus.

A conflict arises between the parties when Kelly refuses to assume the role of manager for his property and urges his parents to assume the responsibility.

Last year, Kelly filed a petition she allegedly issued a subpoena requiring Reid and Sharon to abandon certain items belonging to Kyle.

“A dispute occurred between parties regarding certain personal property allegedly found on (Kyle’s) property before his death,” Kelly’s petition read.

Reed and Sharon requested that Kelly provide various items belonging to Kyle. These included his impressive collection of guns and swords, especially his Japanese samurai swords.

They also listed his gorgeous Rolex and Garmin watches, a plastic bin filled with 1957 J45 Gibson guitars, MacPherson core guitars and baseball cards albums. Plus, they wanted to get Kyle’s School Award, Steinway’s Grand Model M Piano, Viola and various electronics.

Kelly accused Reed and Sharon of taking property belonging to Kyle from her home after his death, after her death, and stated that they never provided stock of items they had deleted.

Kyle’s parents reveal that Kelly invited him to select the items he had prepared for him, but they still thought they lacked certain properties.

Kelly’s petition reiterated that the list of assets given to her contained items regarding no ownership or which ownership was contested.

Kelly and her previous in-laws began shortly after Kyle was declared dead by law enforcement. Kelly and her assistant reportedly sought emergency services help after awakening her husband’s absence and a locked room in the house.

Reports reveal that the guitarist did not consume alcohol before his death. His medical report details his history of “shampopulation, gastrointestinal bleeding, elevated liver enzymes, and chronic alcohol use.”

During his lifetime, the late songwriter worked with a variety of creatives, including Garth Brooks, Trace Adkins, Jo Dee Messina, Tim McGraw, Clay Walker, and Kelly Clarkson.

The explosion shared last year that the singer confirmed her decision to stand up 10 toes in the face of previous in-laws. She made the decision last year after Reid and Sharon said they were “exploiting and trying to prey on grieving widows.”
