Judas and the Black Messiah are one of the movies you know to be great to watch first. That’s why it was almost criminals who didn’t receive a 4K release when the historic drama centered around Fred Hampton and William O’Neill came out in 2021. Instead, fans had to wait an extra four years to finally experience it in full detail at home, but it was worth the wait as Jada and the Black Messiah 4K release is fantastic.
“FBI informant William O’Neill is tasked with invading the Illinois Black Panther Party and overseeing the charismatic leader, Chairman Fred Hampton. The battle for O’Neill’s soul. Let’s give an official explanation.
Judas and the Black Messiah were nominated for six Academy Awards and won two. They placed both Daniel Kaluya and Lakes Stanfield incredibly as supportive actors, but giving Oscar to Kaluya was right. Underrated Stanfield is not how he isn’t leading a better movie, and I never understand – and it’s all a good look at FBI stories of racial injustice and stellar.
As mentioned before, it was worth waiting four years for the release of Judas and the Black Messiah 4K. This film looks stellar in ultra-high resolution with HDR10 and native 4K resolution. We can fully appreciate the filming by Sean Bobbitt. Its visual style helps to shove this past into biography and fantastic character research. The audio is also amazing as there are Dolby Atmos tracks that really make your music and speech shine.
Sadly, there’s nothing new about special features. There are two restored functions. “Fred Hampton for the People” takes a nine-minute look at Hampton’s legacy. This features a cast and crew discussing party members of Key Black Panther, watching O’Neill and his real life betrayal that ultimately led to “unexpected betrayal,” and ultimately his suicide, for eight minutes. Both are valuable watches, but the real standout is the film, not these bonuses.
Judas and the Black Messiah 4K Review: Final Verdict
Judas and the Black Messiah are one of the best films made in the last decade, and it’s great to be available in an ultra-high definition in the end. Both Kaluuya and Stanfield offer excellent performances, and director Shaka King shows incredible talent in his direction. Hopefully, the release of Judas and the Black Messiah 4K will be a great reminder of his talent, so we hope you’ll hear more about King’s next film.
