Jonathan Majors Admits to Strangling Ex-Girlfriend in Leaked Audio

Jonathan Majors admitted to strangle his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in a previously unprecedented audio recording. Rolling Stone. Please listen below.

The 30-second clip was recorded in September 2022 after a few days of battles between the then-couple in London (he was convicted in another New York case in 2023). In an assault and honour-loss lawsuit filed by Jabari in March 2024, she claimed that “she threw her into the hood of a car,” then dragged her into the house, claiming that she “will “have (ed.)” until she felt she could no longer breathe.”

According to Rolling Stonethe excavated audio “captures Jabari as he stands up to his major on alleged attacks the next day.”

“I’m embarrassed ever-” The major begins. “I have never attacked a woman before.

In response, Jabbari explicitly states, “You strangled me and pushed me against the car.”

“Yes, they’re all ‘attacked’,” says Majors. “It never happened to me.”

Jabbari asks if Major “attacked” her as she “ironically said something.” Major said there was “clearly” more to it, and agreed to Yabari’s suggestion that internal impulses against her had prompted him to act.

Some of the details of the case surfaced at the Majors’ 2023 criminal trial for another fight in New York. However, the judge’s decision to ban alleged physical abuse cases from trial meant that the only thing mentioned in the court was the major and his threat to discourage Jabari from going to the hospital.

Jabari then filed another civil suit for honour damage, assault and battery, and malicious prosecution, where she gave detailed narratives of the alleged case in London. The lawsuit was settled in November 2024 for a private amount.

The audio surfaced days after the actor’s first major interview after completing a year of domestic violence counseling ordered in the 2023 trial ruling.
