Former Saturday Night Live cast member John Lobitz He and the creator of the series Al Jian have both been riding for potential Critics revival. This comes nearly 30 years after the adult animation sitcom, which began with ABC in 1994 and ended with Fox in 1995, has finished its two seasons of run.

Critics co-created and produced executives by Mike Rice and Al Jean, best known for his work on Fox’s long-standing animated sitcom The Simpsons. On the show, Lovitz voiced the character of Jay Sherman, a 36-year-old film critic from New York, who is the host of a TV review show called Comeing Attructions. Also featured were Christine Kavanaugh, Nancy Cartwright, Jerit Graham, Judith Ivy, Doris Glau, Maurice Lamart, Nick Jameson, Brenda Baccaro, Charles Napier, the whole of Park, Rosi Taylor, Kath Sorcy and Torres McNeill. It was a production of Photography TV in Colombia. This series currently holds an 85% tomatometer rating on rotten tomatoes.
