“These allegations are so violent in nature that we beg to file criminal charges rather than civil complaints!,” his statement read. “Everyone who commits such a crime against a minor should be locked up, but don’t you agree? These victims would deserve real justice if they were. You made a terrible mistake in your judgment, thinking that all ‘celebrity’ were the same. I’m not from your world. I’m a young man who made it from a Brooklyn project. ”
Jay-Z adds that he was raised with a “very strict code of honor,” and says, “We don’t play these types of games. …We protect our children.”

“My wife and I have to sit down with our children, one of them is the age where her friends are sure to look at the press, ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people,” he added. “I lament yet another loss of innocence.
