While a street rat feast is one thing, a street rat feast in its raw form is definitely an unforgettable experience, and social media users are obsessed with the clips.
One commenter politicized the incident and wrote “Trump’s America.” Another X user immediately rebutted him: “Ah, no doubt. At noon on January 20th, this guy lost his job, his house, and his car.”
“Sad and sad culture and circumstances. America certainly isn’t what we’re explaining. My heartache,” wrote this social media user involved.
These two commenters referenced Trump’s viral campaign speech about people eating cats. “Now they’re eating mice. Trump was right,” he said. The second user wrote, “It’s not just cats! And people didn’t believe in President Trump.”

The peanut consumption was packed and trends emerged in Tiktok in March this year.
Recently, Blast reported a trend in concerns that users also gained traction power in Tiktok, where users are consuming biodegradable packed peanuts.
This unique behavior begins in 2024, when online shoppers share their experience of munching on foamy peanuts, melting into their mouths and making sure they’re safe to eat.
This trend reignited when beauty enthusiasts posted videos of previous (but deleted) Tiktok. Before casually popping it into her mouth, she urged health experts to express their concern over this misconception.

Tiktok took action by removing content that promotes unhealthy consumption

Personal care brand Lush uses “Eco-Flo Chips,” an environmentally friendly packaging material made from potato starch. Unlike traditional foam packing peanuts, these chips are designed to dissolve in water and soil, helping to reduce waste.
Health expert Dr. Larissa L. Garth explained that potato starch can benefit hormonal health, including promoting post-meal bloating, which may help lose weight.
However, she emphasizes that these packaging materials are not for human consumption. The trends on this topic have raised concerns and led Tiktok to remove some related content from the platform to mitigate risk.
Some packing peanuts are still made from non-biodegradable materials

Not all packaging peanuts are created equally, and many companies have opted for biodegradable alternatives instead of traditional styrofoam.
Styrofoam is not toxic, but it does not break down in the body and may remain intact when ingested, and if it stays in the esophagus it poses the risk of suffocation.
Conversely, new packed peanuts made from biodegradable materials are designed to be compostable or recyclable, offering a more sustainable option. A simple test to identify biodegradable packed peanuts is to place them under running water. They dissolve, but styrofoam doesn’t.
However, this does not mean that biodegradables are edible. The fact that they are dissolved in water does not mean that stomach acid is strong enough to break down them.
