Iconic Nickelodeon stars Drake Bell and Josh Peck recently reunited to talk on Peck’s podcast and opened about the quiet set documentary that aired last year.
What did Drake and Josh quietly say on set?
The pair recently discussed Peck’s podcast Good Guys about their relationship, what they’re ever, and a five-part documentary series detailing some of the behind-the-scenes issues with children’s television shows in the 1990s.
As far as documentaries go, Bell detailed how stressful it is to have Brian Peck (unrelated to Josh), who was arrested in 2003 for sexually assaulting Bell in 2001.
“We were in the middle of the investigation when we shot the pilot, but no one knew anything because Brian hadn’t been arrested,” Bell said. “The worst part about having a monster in a safe place (my) is that he and Josh got there every day (and) on the set where we “put our masks, wigs and make-up and make-up” (and) he was there.
In 2004, Peck was sentenced to 16 months in prison and had to register as a lifetime sex offender. During the conversation, Josh Peck said that when he was 14 at the time, he didn’t think anything had happened, but that things in the documentary opened his eyes.
“It made me know a lot about what you had to go through, with the 38-year-old documentary as a father and an adult,” Josh Peck said. “I can’t even imagine that.”
Bell and Peck also spoke about the stress that the trial caused Bell in 2004. According to Bell, he has constantly been highlighted about trials that could have a negative impact on the status of their show, and he emphasized that he had developed a scab on his head when he emphasized that the trial would be public.
“When this fell, Josh looked at me and said, “Both, did you take our dreams?” …And you’re going to lose the show, for example? ” Bell said. “Hey, I’ve lost my hair. It looks like I had these giant scabs on my head.”
