Baird’s film won the first 10,000 euro Al Jazeera Documentary Channel Co-Production Award for its first 10,000 euros for its project on the forum, highlighting the urgent issues of our time.

He said he died in 2003, but was a cultural critic who wrote books including 1978. Orientalismcriticised how the Western world perceives the East. The film is conveyed using his voice and archive footage. It is also produced by highly acclaimed US documentary Alex Gibney, along with Paul Dallas and Sarah Moiswes.
Accepting the award, Baird said he was welcomed because of his lack of support for the US project. “It was in the New York desert. We had no support at all for the whole year we were doing this,” Baird said. “The support we had this week gave us hope for humanity.”
