The entertainment industry is lamenting the loss of Nikki Katt, whose death is now confirmed as a suicide.
According to TMZthe “blushes and confused” actor was found dead in an apartment in the Los Angeles area on April 8th. Law enforcement sources told the outlet that Kat’s body was found by a landlord who discovered the 54-year-old child hanging in his bedroom.
The landlord had previously stopped five days ago, reminding Cut that his rent had come due. When they returned to follow up, the apartment door was open.
Cut, best known for his roles in “The Boiler Room,” “Planet Terrorism,” and “Boston Public,” did not leave a note, so officials believe he died more than a day when his body was found.

Robert Rodriguez, the director who directed Katt in the 2007 cult film Planet Terror, celebrated the actor on social media, looking back at his creativity and unmistakable presence on set.
“He was very prepared for the role of costume and props. He was full of original and creative ideas that allowed his characters to pop out of the screen and consistently circulate the audience,” writes Rodriguez. “He delivered a line that sounded as unexpected as an ad, but it was text. And if he did Adlib, it was always money. Even his physical comedy and timing was really on another level. Nikki was an absolute joy on and off the camera.

Kat was married to Annie Morse from 1999 to 2001. He had no children.
