Daredevil: Born again Directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorehead reveal about the big deaths in the first episode of the MCU show.

Daredevil at Marvel Studios: The premiere of the series was born on March 4th, 2025 at Disney+. Following the events of the Netflix series, the new show will recreate Charlie Cox’s role as a return for Matt Murdoch and Vincent Danofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.

Deborah Anne Wal and Elden Henson have also returned as Karen Page and Franklin “Foggy” Nelson. However, the future of Foggy’s MCU may not be long. Because the character was killed by Wilson Bethel’s Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter at the opening moment of Daredevil.

Daredevil: What did the reborn director say about Foggy’s death?

Speaking about the official Marvel podcast sequence, Benson and Moorehead broke the moment and explained why Foggy’s death was necessary to include it on the show.

“That’s an incident that will make the whole season come to fruition, right?” Moorehead poses. “(Matt) puts his mask away and decides he’s gone too far. We’ve started to realize that the stakes are so high because this guy we care so much, and Elden himself, who lived with this character, despite not playing in a while since then, is so caring that we are.

Benson added: These are just what happens. That’s a genre expectation. People are mourning a bit, but by the time it’s finished with the third act, redness happens and everything is fine. This is a show where sadness wavys in a much more realistic way. The violence that occurs is a much closer result to real life. ”

“And how do you kill someone who actually cares about the show saying this, the outcome is realistic, but the real deal?” Moorehead continued. “And that’s the atomic bomb of his life. And as Daredevil to him. It’s the whole season and beyond that, that he agrees with what he did because his friend died.” ”
