Catherine’s daughter, Carolyn Kiefer, captured Aggie during her mother’s tearful reunion on a social media page. In this post, female staff at West Side Animal Shelter carefully held the cat in her arm when she reintroduced it to her emotional Catherine.
The 82-year-old was by his side with joy as he carefully approached Aggie and gently stroked Maine Coon. The poor cat looked exhausted and burnt, embracing evidence of a fur struggle. Despite initial embarrassment, Aggie seemed to recognize Catherine as she gently hugged her in her arms.

Catherine couldn’t stop her tears from falling as she hugged her precious cat. Her daughter, Carolyn, told the family story in short overlay text flashing throughout the screen. She reveals that Aggie stayed near the ruined house and fought the elements for two months before she was found on their streets.

Katherine Kiefer was afraid that reunion would be a dream
The Associated Press shared details about Katherine and Aggie’s reunion, revealing that the cat may be the first to die. However, Catherine did not lose hope, and her prayers were paid over the weekend when she received a call from an animal shelter in West Los Angeles.
“I woke up and worried that it might have been a dream (discovered),” Katherine said of her emotional reunion with Aggie. Unfortunately, due to the cat’s poor condition, the family was unable to officially be with them until Thursday, March 13th.

Aggie needed some blood transfusions and specialists to get her back to health. Carolyn emphasized that “she is basically skin and bones, and is an absolute state of starvation.” While awaiting the baby’s return, Katherine shared an important message to her pet owner, saying:
“Don’t underestimate cats.”

The miraculous cat received a pour of support
The Tiktok post captured Aggie’s reunion and her reunion with Katherine, receiving over 1 million likes and thousands of comments from Touched Fans. These people likewise supported the recovery of Maine Coon by donating to their families’ $20,000 GoFundMe campaign.
As of Friday, March 14th, more than 1,000 donors had raised $35,101 for Aggie’s veterinary care. The campaign was organized by Carolyn. Carolyn explained that additional funds will be donated to local shelters.
She also added a photo of Aggie and Catherine’s reunion, saying, “What a strong and brave kitten doing so much. I hope Aggie has a quick recovery!” More people rave about the cat that someone writes has nine lives:

Palisades Wildfire destroyed numerous homes and wildlife, evacuating thousands of people. Additionally, the destruction caused widespread power losses, leaving more than 362,000 homes and businesses in California without electricity.
