'Bachelorette' DeAnna Pappas And Her Ex Still Butting Heads Almost A Year After Their Divorce

Deanna Pappas and Stephen Stariano broke up the 11-year-old union in June 2024 after encountering and falling in love with the 2009 bachelor’s degree event.

It all began when Stephen’s mother, Lyn Stagliano, filed March 7th, accused Deanna of being an out-of-control alcoholic. Lynn claimed that the TV star was repeatedly engaging in alcohol when she went to pick up her grandchild from school from home.

Deanna quickly countered the Ex Parte application filed by Stephen, but this response was not reflected in court records. She argued that Stephen’s claims were rooted in a false narrative, and explicitly claimed that he had falsified the accusation that she was an alcoholic.

Deanna argued that these accusations were not true and that they served as a strategy for Stephen to gain an unfair advantage in his efforts to keep children away from her.

As In In Touch shares, Deanna makes serious allegations against Stephen, accusing her daughter of influencing her in search of alcohol in the home.

She claims that he trained their children to “sniff” alcohol and to distance themselves from Deanna by cultivating the belief that she is an alcoholic. Deanna firmly denied these accusations, saying, “I am not an alcoholic.”

Deanna also took another legal action against her ex-husband by applying for a restraining order following the February 26 incident. In her petition, she requested that Stephen be required to maintain a 100 yards distance from her. A hearing on the issue is scheduled later this month.

Regarding the incident, Deanna recalls that he made uneasy comments about her when she took her daughter to Stephen’s car so that he could take her. The TV personality explained that her estranged husband claimed she could walk near him and sniff out a breath to see if she was drunk.

Ignoring his comments, Deanna tries to return to the garage, but finds that Stephen has chased her inside her and left her daughter alone in the car running. When she tried to close the garage door, he refused to leave when she cried out at him to do so.

At this point, already threatened Deanna pointed out that she had retreated to her house and locked the door behind her. However, Stephen confronted her again, grabbing her and pushing her hard.

Fearing her safety, she calls the police and learns that when they arrive just after midnight, Deanna has accused Stephen of being an invader and has pushed domestic violence charges against her.

Deanna said she was never asked to get an alcohol test and the arrest officers expressed no concern about her addiction.

Despite this, she was arrested on February 27th on a misdemeanor charge and released on the same day on a $20,000 bond. She claimed she had voluntarily undergone drug tests and tested negative for both.

The former reality star filed for separation from Stephen together for over a decade in January 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

In her petition, she said the date of separation was the same as the filing date. Deanna applied for primary custody of the child along with spouse support, while Stephen requested joint custody of the child. Deanna also publicly dealt with the breakup, saying:

“It was a great sadness and Stephen and I decided to end our relationship as a couple. We have worked hard for a long time – as a married couple and as an individual – and have We reach a conclusion Continue to separate. ”

The star reiterated her and Stephen’s commitment to align their children, Addison and Austin, with co-parents, despite their challenging circumstances.

Following that experience, she became the “Bachelorette” and eventually got engaged to Jesse Kusinksack. Sadly, they parted ways in 2008 and told Csincsak that she loved him but was not in love with him.

Interestingly, she later met Stephen, the twin brother of the show’s season 5 contestant. In 2011, Deannas married Stagliano in his hometown of Georgia after proposing to be a high school teacher in 2010.

Sources shared that they are “fed up with excitement” and highlighted how incredibly happy she looks in the meantime. Just before filing for divorce in 2023, the estranged couple looked sincere in Los Angeles.

What’s even more shocking is that the estranged duo renewed their wedding vows months before it split in October 2022.

However, Blast reported that the estranged couples were transparent about the dynamics of their relationship with their fans from the start, and that marriage could be extremely challenging.

In a 2018 blog post, the former reality TV star shared that while their relationship demands effort, both she and her partner Stephen are dedicated to raising marriages every day.

She added that they focused on symbiosis and communicated regularly without adopting the role of “good cops” or “bad cops” and made it a priority. Their communication style reportedly helped them achieve their goal of spending quality time together each day.
