Branson explained that the contract decided to distribute their property, and according to TMZ, child support was not an issue as they had no children. Despite her celebrity status, the comedian was able to maintain a relationship with Annick for years.

It was unclear when Annick raised a big question about when the estranged couple began dating. However, Branson confirmed his engagement to him in a July 2020 Instagram post. She shared a close-up image of herself shaking a diamond ring on her left finger and captioned the post, “More Good News.”

Annick barely appeared on Branson’s social media pages and didn’t appear to have a public social media profile either. He went out of the spotlight, but Annick made a rare appearance at red carpet events to support his then-wife.
One of these unusual moments occurred in June 2022 when Annick resigned as a loving couple with Branson at the Time 100 Gala. At the time, the actress was recognized as one of the most influential people of the publication.

Branson praised her estranged husband at the awards ceremony
Branson first became prominent in her series “The Girl Who Has Never Have a Nice Date”. However, her success has skyrocketed thanks to her hit ABC show “Abbott Elementary.”
The comedy series won multiple awards in 2022, including Emmy. She praised her husband in her acceptance speech for the outstanding writing of the comedy series, saying, “I am the one who is a sought after school.
“If I’m not back here again, I have to thank my mother, my father, my brother, my sister, my cousin… because my wonderful husband is the most supportive man I’ve ever known.”

During the 2022 Emmy Awards, Branson was welcomed on stage by miniskits, played by presenters Jimmy Kimmel and Will Arnett. Kimmel lay at her feet and protested against losing the award to the actress by throwing a fake tantrum.
Branson joked and ignored Kimmel while giving her speech, but most fans didn’t let him slip his actions. “Quinta Branson is more valuable than acceptable to Jimmy Kimmel’s “dead” body,” someone claimed. Another agreed, accusing the TV host of ruining the big black woman moment.
The comedian became the second black woman to win Emmy for outstanding writing in a comedy series. For Branson, achieving this status was more important to her than Kimmel’s antics, and she cleaned the air with her statement.
