In a recent discussion, show creator Mike White said White Lotus Season 4 could compete against a background that doesn’t feature oceans.

Speaking about the show’s next destination, White said: “In the fourth season, we want to get a little bit out of the rock crash waves, but there’s always room for more murder at the White Lotus Hotel,” he said. (Depending on deadline)

So far, the show has almost exclusively featured properties from the Four Seasons chain. The debut chapter opened in Hawaii, with a follow-up version taking viewers to Italy. In February 2025, HBO drama chief Frances Caorsi said that although the location for White Lotus Season 4 has not been confirmed, it is likely to become a European country. “We’ll be scouting some places in the coming weeks so we’ll know right away. We can’t really say where we’re going to land, but it could be somewhere in Europe,” she said.
