A source close to the star revealed that her finances have been in trouble for years, exacerbated by a costly custody battle with her ex-husband, Kyle Newman. Insider shared:

King is reportedly caught up in the wake of losing custody of his two sons, and those nearby her hope it will serve as a much-needed “tough wake-up call.”
Sources shared that King was deeply “devastated and embarrassing” by the situation. “It made everything even more difficult because the world knows now. It causes wedges in personal and professional relationships,” they revealed.
The TV personality has long fought personal struggles, but a combination of family turmoil, career setbacks and financial difficulties have made her a breaking point. “And I’m sure others don’t even know. She can be very private about what she’s going through,” the insider added.

The mothers of two were given supervised visits
The king may have lost only custody of her two sons, but she still has the opportunity to see them under strict conditions. Her ex-husband, Kyle Newman, currently has primary custody and ultimate decision-making authority, but King is permitted to visit overseen three times a week.
Blast reports that her supervised visits can be overseen by some families, including her mother, sisters, stepbrothers and Newman’s brother Kevin. However, full parental rights will not be restored until you have completed some mandated programs.

King will be required to undergo a six-month drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, submit to regular tests and participate in a 26-week parenting course. Individual treatment and potential counseling with her child are also necessary before unsupervised access can be requested.
King’s Ex claims that their children were “traumatized” by their living conditions

Newman painted a nasty picture of the King’s parenting, claiming that his two sons, James and Leo, remained emotionally tormented while they looked after her.
In a 2024 court application, Newman recalled receiving heartbreaking calls from children who were crying and begging him to pick them up from King’s house.
When he arrived early that morning, he found his mother in a state of concern, and appeared to be sitting on the floor with her hair in pigtails and wearing little or no pants.
Two men were also at home, but the king reportedly reportedly needed Newman’s help. She then made an uneasy comment, saying:
