FX orders a pilot of seven sisters featuring Elizabeth Olsen
FX ordered a pilot of seven sisters led by Elizabeth Olsen. Sean Durkin was brought to oversee the pilot, written by Will Arbery, reported Deadline. The project was produced by FX Productions and is executive producers by Arbery, Durkin and Garrett Basch.
The plot revolves around a large family that begins to fall apart when one of the sisters played by Olsen begins to speak in a voice that no one else can hear. This revelation encourages the family to stand up to years of secrets. If we’ve got a pick up, the series will be the fifth collaboration between Bash and FX, and we’ll be taking part in his previous projects, including the upcoming Noworldrama featuring Shadows, Developers, Reserved Dogs and Ethan Hawk.
Durkin recently oversaw the Iron Claws on the A24. His upcoming projects include Deep Cuts featuring Saoirse Ronan and Austin Butler. Arbery is known for his succession film, a film starring Chris Evans and Anya Taylor-Joy, and for his victims of co-shooting.
Olsen’s recent works include ratings, his three daughters on Netflix, and the upcoming A24 romantic comedy Eternity. She also carefully films Warner Bros. thriller panic with Julia Roberts, Eddie Redmayne and Aidan Gillen.
In particular, Olsen and Durkin will be reuniting with their seven sisters for the first time since Martha Mercy May Marlene, who marked Durkin’s directorial debut.
The pilot is currently in development, and no further cast details have been announced.
