Amazon MGM Studios announced Deep cover Release date for the latest action comedy about improvisation actors trying to invade London’s underworld under the guise of criminals. Additionally, photos of the film’s first appearance have been revealed, featuring the main cast led by Blythe Dallas Howard (Jurassic Wardle, Algill) and Orlando Bloom (The Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean).
“The film is a fast-paced action comedy set in London. Aspiring comedian Cat is currently teaching improvisation classes and is beginning to question whether the secret cop missed a chance of success when offering a lifelong role,” the official summary reads. “Kat, along with two of her improvisation students, Marlon and Hugh, must break into a gangland in London impersonating a dangerous criminal. The trio quickly finds themselves above their heads.”
When is the release date for the Deep Cover?
Deep Cover is scheduled to debut on June 12th, 2025 on Prime Video alone. The film stars Nick Mohammed (Ted Lasso), Paddy Considin (Dragon’s House), Sonoya Mizuno (Crazy Rich Asian, Dragon’s House), Shawn Bean (Game of Thrones), and Ian McShane (Johnwick).
The film is directed by British filmmaker Tom Kingsley (Ghost) with screenplay written by Derek Connolly and Colin Treberow, along with British improvisation duo Ben Ashenden and Alexander Owen. It is produced by Trevorrow, Walter F. Parkes and Laurie Macdonald. The film currently has a total runtime of 1 hour and 40 minutes. It was produced by Metronome Film.
